Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

Author Guidelines
Authors must submit the manuscript online, after registering in our system.
Manuscripts are submitted for the exclusive use of the International e-Journal of Criminal Sciences. All submitted articles must be original, not having been published before, and not under review for publication in other journals or conferences.
Articles in English, French, Basque and Spanish are welcomed.
Contributions must be sent in .rtf or .doc format. The manuscripts are normally between 5,000-10,000 words, not including references, tables, and figures. The entire manuscript must be single-spaced (Arial or Calibri, 11 cpi). Tables and figures must be placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.The manuscripts should not have footnotes, the relevant information should be placed in the text.
For book reviews, the author is free to choose the best structure.
All submissions must include:
- Title page: title, authors' names and surnames, affiliations, correspondence contact, ORCID (if any), and postal address.
- Anonymised manuscript with the figures included in the text.
For research articles, structure should be as follows:
- Title. 10-12 words. If the language of the submisssion is French, Spanish or Basque, please provide also the title in English.
- Author(s) name and affiliation. Please place an asterisk before the author with whom the editor and readers should correspond (and include e-mail address at the bottom of the page).
- Abstract and keywords. All manuscripts must include an abstract containing a maximum of 180 words. After the abstract, please supply up to five keywords or brief phrases. If the language of the submisssion is French, Spanish or Basque, please provide also the keywords in English.
- Introduction. This section will include the background and objectives of the study.
- Method. Describe clearly the data collection method, analysis method, instruments and sample or materials used.
- Results. This section will present the main results of the study.
- Discussion. This section will discuss the results, underlying the contribution made to the criminal sciences and proposing future lines of study.
- References. The full references should be typed on a separate page and placed at the end of the article and must follow the format described in the "Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association" (6th edition,2010). They should not be given as footnotes. References should include the names of all the authors and their initials, the year of publication, the full title of the article or book, name of the journal, the volume number, the pages, and the DOI (if possible). For books, the city of publication and the publisher should be given. The following may serve as illustrations:

- When electronic references are used, follow APA guidelines for citing information from the Internet and the World Wide Web: www.apastyle.org/elecref.html. References to online materials are encouraged.
- Please provide DOI number where available.
For Research reports, the author is free to choose the best structure for the report but please do not include headers in the manuscript. The author should include details about the Institutions funding the research.
Sending a manuscript to evaluate, the authors certify the originality of it and confirm that any material presented in it is free of copyright. Therefore, the authors will take charge of any future reclamation or process related to intellectual property making free to the Editorial Team members of the International E-journal of Criminal Sciences. In addition, in case of being accepted, the authors athorize the journal to distribuite the manuscript nationally or internationally.
