Gravedad de la adicción al cristal y reincidencia en el delito de robo / Crystal meth addiction severity and reincidence in the theft crime

Abstract

La reincidencia delictiva es un tema que preocupa a los diferentes actores sociales que participan en la procuración e impartición de justicia. Existe la necesidad de proporcionar un adecuado tratamiento a los individuos que se encuentran privados de su libertad en los diferentes centros penitenciarios. El fin último del presente estudio es resaltar la importancia de un tratamiento de adicciones, exponiendo la relación existente entre la reincidencia delictiva en el delito de robo y la gravedad de la adicción al cristal, así como otros factores, de un grupo de 86 individuos internos en el CERESO de Cd. Obregón. Esto a través de la aplicación de dos instrumentos mediante una entrevista. Los resultados muestran que los entrevistados que presentan mayor índice de Gravedad de la Adicción al Cristal registran también un mayor número de ingresos a centros penitenciarios, una menor edad al momento de su primer ingreso y primer consumo de drogas, además de un nivel educativo básico, entre otras características.

Criminal recidivism is an issue that concerns to different social actors involved in the prosecution and delivery of justice. There is a need to provide adequate treatment to individuals who are deprived of their liberty in different prisons. The ultimate goal of this study is to analyze the importance of an addiction treatment, exposing the relation between criminal recidivism in the theft crime and crystal meth addiction severity, as well other factors, in a group of 86 inmates in the CERESO of Cd. Obregón. This through the application of two instruments in an interview. The results show that the interviewees who presented a higher level of crystal meth addiction severity also registered a greater number of admissions to prisons, a lower age at the time of first admission and first drug use, as well as a basic level of education, among other features.
