Egun objektibotasun zientifikoaz hitz egitea horrek dituen hainbat ulerkeraz jardutea da. Adostasun zabala dago zientziaren filosofoen artean objektibotasun-balorazioak hainbat modutan egiten direla testuinguruaren arabera. Testu honek argudiatu nahi du ulerkera horiek ideia orokor komun bat dutela. Horretarako, gaiaren inguruko egungo hainbat ideia deskribatzen dira, besteak beste, arrisku epistemikoaren edo ulerkera negatiboaren ideia (Koskinen 2018). Horren harira, argitzen da arriskuan oinarritzen den ulerkera ez dela nahikoa, esanahi orokor bat eratu nahi badugu.
