Homicidios dolosos en Ciudad Juárez, un análisis a partir de la Teoría de las Actividades Rutinarias / Intentional homicide in Ciudad Juarez, an analysis based on the Routine Activity Theory

Abstract

Este trabajo parte de las teorías ecológicas del crimen en específico las TAR, en las cuales se hace un análisis del lugar de los hechos, de las víctimas y del victimario para encontrar varias soluciones al problema. Es por ello que esta investigación tiene como objetivo identificar perfiles de estas tres variables que permitan, a su vez, dar recomendaciones de acciones públicas y sociales para su disminución. Para la realización del mismo, además de la base de datos del Observatorio Ciudadano de Prevención, Seguridad y Justicia (OCPSyJ) del FICOSEC  se recabó información de carpetas de investigación sobre homicidios, la cual fue otorgada por el Área de Estadística Criminal y del Área de Delitos Contra la Vida de la Fiscalía General del Estado. Asimismo se realizaron encuestas y entrevistas con personas privadas de la libertad por homicidio en el Centro de Reinserción Social Estatal #3. Lo cual, mediante varias metodologías, permitió realizar perfiles socio-espaciales de las víctimas, los victimarios y los lugares de los eventos.

This research is based on the environmental theories of crime, specifically on the routine activity theory (RAT), in which an analysis of the place of the facts, the victims and the perpetrator is made to find several solutions to the problem. This research aims to identify profiles of these three variables to give recommendations for public and social actions that can reduce their frequency. To accomplish this objective, in addition to data collected from the database of the Citizen Observatory of Prevention, Security and Justice of FICOSEC, information was gathered from investigation files on homicides with access granted by the Areas of Criminal Statistics and Crimes against Life of the State Attorney General's Office. Likewise, surveys and interviews were conducted with persons deprived of liberty for homicide in the State Social Readaptation Center #3. Which, through various methodologies, allowed socio-spatial profiles of victims, perpetrators and places of events.
