Abstract

The objective of this paper is to understand and analyse the psychological expert evidence applied to the credibility of the testimonies of minors, more specifically, victims of child sexual aggression. Following a literature review and through an empirical review of judgments issued by the Provincial Courts of the Basque Autonomous Community (2019-2025), we examine the techniques for obtaining accounts, individual and external factors, as well as the influence of the quality of evidence in judicial proceedings. The results of the empirical study demonstrate that forensic discussions tend to focus on the child's testimony, and how the court's assessment focuses on different criteria.
