Abstract
Conservation actuations into different art works and cultural heritage are joined with the principle of sustainability; they aim to increase the permanence of these artistic creations throughout the time. Nevertheless, this principle may be opposite to the idea many artist transmit in their work of fugacity, decay or biological death.
The high level of experimentation, improvisation, and even the carelessness many contemporary art works show, force the arts restorers to look for new treatments or alternative ways for the old criteria, to satisfy other needs such as the Art market and their incorporation into museums with adequate resources for their conservation.
The conflict between Conservation and Creation in art works should be approach aiming to join all the new criteria and needs with acts, which do not compromise the future of the works and sustainable economically as well as lengthily.
