Abstract

The present text supports the idea of considering the districts of a city, or the city itself as the real bearers of character and the providers of identity. The text proposes the convenience of a Collage City as a model, in order to accommodate the different tendencies. It claims for the urgent use of codes and for the re-establishment of copying as a useful tool for architects and urban designers.
