Abstract

The new global tendencies towards the postulates of the Sustainable Development not only have marked the steps of the economics and the ecology, but also the artistic practice has been attracted by this new holistic philosophy. In this sense, the Sustainable Art has gone much further of the land art, to penetrate in different economic, social, environmental and political subjects, what has allowed to displace the most frivolous speeches to analyze the real questions that worry the human being from the 21st century. In this essay, we will penetrate into those artistic experiences that have studied in depth practices related to economic, social, political and ecological matters.
