Abstract

The expression of the source of information is called 'evidentiality' in the literature. It is quite a new field in linguistics, since it was mentioned first at the beginning of the 20th century. Later on, many works have been published, from different perspectives. Nevertheless, many of them have focused on an issue: the relation evidentiality has with another linguistic fields, and especially the relation it has with modality. We will also focus on the same matter, namely on the relation between evidentiality and modality, collecting different points of view.
