Abstract

This article studies the symbolic evolution of the Navarra's flag from its origin in 1910, under the inspiration of the «euskaros» to the beginning of the Spanish Civil war, where this symbol was used to represent the values of those supporting the uprising. This evolution allows the authors to revise the symbolic polysemy, developed in its relation to the other three flags of that period: the red and yellow Spanish flag, the tricolour and the ikurriña.
