Abstract

From the sociocultural history and the care economy, analyzes how the families have achieved the elites and paupesr sustainability during the xviii and xix centuries. Families acomplished the elites viability in their biological, economical, political, social and cultural side. Families supported paupers sustainability, assured neediest society, conveyed social cohesion values, set up human capital and guaranteed material survival. Families have been historical main social actors, who enabled those with no public assistante to survive.
