Abstract

This article takes a journey through the different historiographical visions of Catalan nationalism that have come into being. Firstly an analysis of the origins, popular or not, of the first cases of nationalism is presented. Secondly, the writer reviews the debate on the weak position of Spanish nationalization, fucusing on its inefficiency. The work closes with a summary of current trends pointing out the diversification in methodologies and analyzes the fields of study.
