Abstract

Many scholars have recognised the infuence of history and narrations in nations and national identities' construction. In that process, while some narrations were considered and reproduced as «fundational myths» of the nation, others were left out because they didn't contribute to the «appropiate» national project. From a gender and ethnicity point of view, this article analyses both types of narrations in the construction of the Argentinian nation and national identities.
