Abstract
El lunes 25 de junio de 1984 moría en París Michel Foucault. Ha
pasado mucho tiempo, y esa misma distancia nos permite evitar los
diagnósticos expeditivos, las condenas circunstanciales o las celebraciones
apresuradas de su obra. Decía Emil Ciaran que no deberíamos
escribir sobre lo que no hubiéramos releído. Por mi parte, creo haber
cumplido ese diellIm, he releído a Foucault tratando de averiguar razonablemente
qué le debemos y a qué no nos resignamos. La labor no es
sencilla, puesto que me obliga a abordar una obra original e incómoda,
profunda e irritante, de estilo expresivo y caracterizada por una fortísima
presencia autorial: una obra, en fin, de la que son deudores numerosos
comentarios y adhesiones, analistas más o menos avezados y avalistas
esforzadamente fieles.
