Abstract

The bibliography devoted to the study of Sección Femenina of FET-JONS has already four decades of developing, a time that has allowed it to take part in some of the most relevant historiographical trends. On the basis of that postulate, the purpose of this essay is to explore the main contributions about female falangism attending both the singularity of each work and the epistemological context in which it has been produced. With this aim, the first part analyses transversally the controversy that has hold the attention of specialists in the SF, the one related to the contradiction between the female paradigm embodied by the women of the organization and the female ideal that they imposed to Spanish women. The second part proposes a review of the current perspectives used to write the history of Sección Femenina. This two-ways approach allows to clarifying which are the main questions that lead today the researches on this organization.
