Abstract

In the era of the modern cities, after the industrial revolution, the definition of an identitary group was a primordial purpose. The bourgeoisie stablished his social and economical status measuring the urban ordination states like a self-assertion. The housing and the family in their different aspects reflects these upper classes and their way of life. The analisis of bourgeois architecture and his domestic furnitures allows the study of the mechanisms used to fix the commanding profile of this social class. In this process, the photography and its development in graphic Press constitutes the support of the definition of this identity.
