Abstract

First of all, this essay focuses on valuing some of the newest drummer historiography's works, the one which arose from 1985 to the end of the millennium. Second, I try to examine the historicist line and the contributions made by Restoration's chroniclers to the drummer culture. Finally, I end up by reflecting on the significant influence that the mixing among the positivism, the romanticism and 19th and 20th centuries' folklore has had on the working of the Great Basque tradition's speech whose main protector and custodian the drummer would be.
