Abstract

The understanding about the infantile work has changed enormously through the centuries. In the Spanish case, the necessity of its eradication was early assumed by public powers. That became in the approbation of a politics progressive legislation since the ending of the xix century. The franquista dictatorship went on with that regulation, although, in contrast to the international legislation, some legislatives gaps were kept, besides a strong sexism. However, the practice application of that protectionist legislation delayed. That was due to some factors like the autarkic politics of the Regimen in its first stage, the limit of the obligatory schooling —joined the low rates of scholarship and presence at school—, the migration to the cities in the 60's and 70's, besides the social class discrimination and sexism.
