Abstract

On November 2005 it was 30 years since the death of Franco and the beginning of the monarchy of Juan Carlos I. Due to this events historians and the Spanish society expected a rebirth of studies and investigations on this large period of our history. The truth, however, has been that the Spanish

Civil War has become the real main character of this aniversary. In spite of this, we have to emphasize how the Franco period, and specially the foreign affairs, has been the theme of important studies. In this article are shown the main contributions about Franco's foreign policy since 2003, as well as a balance of what has been down untill now and the challenges that the specialists still have on this important aspect of the years of Franco's regimen.
