Abstract
This paper is an overview of the economic history of the Mediterranean Andalusia and Murcia. It is a region traditionally under developed and diverse, but at various times has presented models of economic specialization relatively homogeneous. The article analyzes the factors of economic growth in the area and the recent progress in catching up.
