Abstract

During the «Restauración» social question became «the century's question, which appealed to different sectors of Spanish society, including the Church. The aspect we deal with were an excuse for discussing, mainly from the Spanish Church, its contributions to and its focus on the problem. Spanish contributions were weaker and later than those coming from other European countries, al though they became more important from the end of XIXth century, when Rerum Novarum was promulgated.
