Assigning «Begriffsgeschichte» (the History of Concepts) its Proper Place in Writing the History of Political Philosophy

Abstract
This article examines some reasons that make of conceptual history an invaluable method for historians in their study of political thought. Secondly, the article suggests the application of some methodological resources of the history of political and social concepts with the aim of improving the future research on the history of political thought.
