The Scientific Turn (1870-1910): Towards a New Concept of Public Opinión

Abstract
The paper argues that during the last decades of the XIXth century and the beginning of the XXth, a new approach to public opinion emerged. By the introduction of analytic and empirical categories from the social sciences, it aimed to produce a scientific turn on the study of public opinion.
