Abstract

The Liberal Revolution spread throughout the middle of the 19th century across Navarra. This situation sometimes produced a breakdown in the concept of rural community, which was answered in various social sectors with an increase in the amount of disputes. These arguments, along with the change of the century, and after a long agricultural crisis, remained very active, although it had a remarkable nuance: the development of class conflicts, as a result of the establishment of some breakthrough revolutionary ideologies, which became the vindicating aspect par excellence for the communal.
