Abstract

This article realizes a synthetic vision of the tourist Spanish phenomenon of the century XX. It begins with a characterization of the tourism as phenomenon of masses. It continues with the explanation of the configuration of Spain as tourist power. It uses indicators of the economy of the tourism and studies, for the long term, the offer and the demand tourist. Finally, it effects an approximation to the principal lines of the tourist politics. It underlines, besides, the need to include the tourism in an explanatory theory of the development of the Spanish economy of the century XX, slightly totally neglected by the Economic Spanish History.
