Abstract
During second half of XVIIIth Century the displacement of the real residence to the the Buen Retiro it dragged the aristocracy towards the zone of Los Prados, and changed the urban image of Madrid. From here, the surroundings of the Calle Mayor suffered different transformations in its functions and image, that could much have been but deep to have fulfilled some the devised and not made projects.
