Abstract

In this article, we will try to establish the importance of the analysis of the sanitary infrastructures and essential services, aiming a better understanding of the contemporary city. In particular, we will study the key material elements such as the water contributions from the perspective of its carriage, conductions, stock, quality, social distribution and uses. We will also deal with the hygiene, both private and collective; with the collection and evacuation of solid and liquid waste when related to the public health, and with their impact on the closer environment.
