Abstract
In the parish of San Martin from Estavillo (Alava) are preserved two stone baroque sculptures of the clerics Christopher and Martin Pérez, and one painting of the Virgin of Popolo. This study provide new documentary evidence on the bachelors and these works are placed in the chapel of St. Joseph founded by them. The worshippers are analyzed in relation to the royal tombs of El Escorial, and the canvas of the Madonna, brought from Rome by the Perez, is studied from the original icon and, especially, of the first copies mannerist authorized by the popes Pius V and Sixtus V.
