Abstract
La Mancha, Field of Montiel and Field of Calatrava were a crossing point to the travellers who went across Spain during the Spanish Golden Age. The foreign travellers who crossed this region, left in their travel tales such descriptions of the villages and cities. Some of them also talked about the artistic heritage of the places that they had visited. Their testimony are a valuable source because the artistic heritage of these places wasn't well-known in other countries. For this reason the study of the artistic heritage can help us to understand the perception that these writers had about it.
