Abstract
In Saint Michael ́s church, in Irura, one of the most interesting altarpieces of the Renaissance in Gipuzkoa is located. The altar includes romanist style high quality relieves and carvings in a mannerist architecture. The work was carried out in the late 16th Century by the artists Pedro de Goicoechea and Jerónimo de Larrea, members of the workshop of Tolosa, following the design of the sculptor Juan de Goicoechea.
