Abstract
The former Jesuit College in the town of Oropesa, in the province of Toledo, had an enormous altarpiece dedicated to the miraculous lactation of Saint Bernard, which is discussed here for the first time, studying its chronology, style and historical context. Then the painting is enroll in the whole of the artist's work, particularly the production of large altarpieces during the final period of his life.
