Abstract
We analyze here five Baroque paintings from 1734 themed on the Counter-reformation which are integrated in the altarpieces in the parish of San Pedro de Villanueva de la Oca (Burgos). They collect specific devotions of Manuel Agustín Ondona, priest of this church and beneficiary in La Puebla de Arganzón, who is valued in his biography for his religiosity, culture and patronage. The French and Flemish prints that inspired the paintings are also identified, and the Arroquia, painters from Vitoria, are proposed as possible authors.
