About the Journal
Focus and scope
Cuadernos de Trabajo/Lan-Koadernoak Hegoa is a journal devoted to development studies from an inter- and multi-disciplinary viewpoint. Published since 1989 by Hegoa, the University of the Basque Country’s Institute of International Cooperation and Development Studies, it publishes the results of research into a wide range of aspects related to problems, analytical frameworks and actions in the field of human development and transformational cooperation.
Cuadernos de Trabajo/Lan-Koadernoak Hegoa has a monographic focus. It is published three time a year in electronic format. Special issues are also published, and there is a paper edition.
This publication is indexed in databases such as Catálogo Latindex, Dialnet, e-Revistas, ISOC-CSIC, MIAR, etc.
Ethical declaration on publication and good practice
Cuadernos de Trabajo Hegoa undertakes a commitment to the scientific community to guarantee the ethics and quality of the articles published. Our journal uses as a guide the Code of conduct and good practice as defined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for the publishers of scientific journals. It takes on the commitment to ensure the quality of published material, protecting and respecting the content of the articles as well as their integrity. The Editorial Committee undertakes to publish corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies when necessary.
In compliance with these good practices, Cuadernos de Trabajo Hegoa has a system for selecting articles employing criteria based exclusively on the scientific importance of the article, as well as the originality, clarity and pertinence of the study presented. Our journal guarantees at all times the confidentiality of the assessment process. Furthermore, confidentiality is maintained with respect to any possible clarifications or complaints that an author may wish to send to the journal’s committees.
Cuadernos de Trabajo Hegoa declares its commitment to respecting work already published. For this reason, plagiarism is strictly prohibited and any texts identified as plagiarism or as containing fraudulent content will be eliminated from the journal, if already published, or cancelled, if they have been accepted for publishing. The journal will act in such cases with the greatest possible speed. By accepting the terms and agreements of our journal, authors must guarantee that the article and associated material are original and in no case infringe copyright. Authors must also justify that it has not been previously presented or published in any format.

The names and email addresses displayed in this journal will be used exclusively for the purposes stipulated in it and will not be given to third parties or provided for use for any other purpose.
