Los síndicos aplicadores del Derecho del Reino de Navarra (1530-1829)

Abstract

It studies the function and regime of the syndics of the Courts of the Kingdom of Navarre and its Deputation, which were its legal operators. They participated in the drafting and compilation of the fueros, laws and ordinances, dictated and managed before the royal authority the reparations of contrafueros, grievances and breach of laws, formalized their internal functioning and ruled on any issues that were consulted. The progressive institutionalization was specifying from the sixteenth to the nineteenth century their regime in terms of faculties, remuneration, incompatibilities, honors and distinctions.
