Abstract

The study refers to the modes of ownership transfer in Navarre, which may be voluntary (through marriage agreements and contracts, or transfers to third parties) or imposed by law (legal inheritance of trunk lineage assets or right of first refusal by Navarre locals). Special attention is paid to the historical precedents of institutions, as reflected in custom and written law, as well as references to the position of women that are reflected in regional regulations.
