Abstract

In a turbulent geopolitical context of global institutional uncertainty, it is necessary to take stock and reflect on the positive aspects that the European project’s progression has brought with it as a complex supranational entity — an entity whose inner workings must be renewed to guarantee the dynamism and agility in decision-making required at a historical moment like the present, marked by the radical transformation of our frames of reference. We must politically reconstruct Europe and awaken enthusiasm among those of us who share this project. It is necessary —now more than ever— to make Europe the fundamental cause
and not to retreat when faced with a push for the return to exclusive state sovereignty, as many autocratic European political leaders are demanding.
