Abstract
The historical powers that Navarre had over its roads and traffic are presented, as well as the conflicts with the Spanish national government until the imposition of control by Spanish national police forces during the Franco regime. Likewise covered is the recognition of historical rights by the Constitution and Organic Law 13/1982, on the Restoration and Improvement of the Autonomous Government of Navarre. The debate over jurisdiction in traffic and policing matters was resolved by Organic Law 6/2024, dated December 5, with Navarre being recognised to have jurisdiction.
