History of the Journal

In 1994, the University School of Business Studies of Donostia launched a scientific journal. Its creation stemmed from the desire to strengthen the links between teaching, research, and critical reflection. From its inception, the journal aimed to promote academic debate on business and economics from diverse perspectives and to encourage interdisciplinary dialogue. Unfortunately, the journal ceased its activity, and its final issue was published in 2021.

In recent years, thanks to the initiative of a group of lecturers and researchers, a process to revive the project has been set in motion, this time under the name 251 – Enpresa eta Ekonomia Aldizkaria. 251 is precisely the code that identifies the Gipuzkoa Section of the Faculty of Economics and Business, and the journal’s new name seeks to reflect, in this way, our origin and our core identity. This “revival” does not seek merely to recover the journal’s past trajectory, but rather to adapt its original spirit to contemporary challenges, with scientific quality, transparency, and openness as its guiding principles. Its objective is to bring to professionals in the business sector the research carried out by university teaching staff in the field of Business Management.

The journal’s issues can be found within the collection, and each issue is published as research develops in the specified field, whenever topics of interest or relevance for dissemination to the business sector and society arise.

In each issue, an effort is made to ensure that the topics addressed in all articles are novel, while particular care is taken to ensure that authors develop these topics with the highest level of scientific rigor.

Our aim is to compile, through this publication, a collection of works on economic and business topics that will serve as reference material for all those interested.
