For publication, original research articles as well as papers on innovation and reflection in university teaching will be considered. Priority will be given to works related to current realities, addressing social, environmental or cultural issues, always from a rigorous and scientifically grounded perspective.
Language of publication
The main and preferred language of publication will be Basque. However, exceptionally, contributions in Spanish or English may be accepted when their publication is justified by thematic interest or international origin.
In any case, all published works must include an English version of the abstract (in long articles), as well as the title, the abstract and their corresponding keywords.
Guidelines for authors
Submissions must be original and unpublished, and must not be under review by any other publication. Works written in Basque will be given priority; however, exceptionally, texts in Spanish or English may be accepted when thematic or origin-based interest justifies it.
For publication, original research articles as well as papers on innovation and reflection in university teaching will be considered.
The text must be submitted in an editable format (.docx or .odt), in two versions: one including the authors’ information and another anonymous version (a PDF version may also be requested). The recommended length is between 8,000 and 10,000 words, including tables, figures, notes and references.

Authorship must follow this format for each author:
Additional Considerations
Bibliographic references must follow APA style.
The inclusion of recent and relevant bibliography will be positively valued.
Figures and tables must be numbered, include titles, and indicate the corresponding source.
Articles that do not comply with these rules may be returned before the evaluation process begins for correction.
Publication process and review system
All submitted contributions will undergo a publication process that guarantees rigor, transparency and impartiality in decision-making. This process consists of several stages.
Once the article is received, the editorial board and the joint committee will carry out a preliminary editorial evaluation. This stage will assess whether the text fits the journal’s scope, meets formal requirements and achieves an adequate overall quality. At this stage, authors may be asked to correct formal aspects before proceeding to external review.
Articles that pass this first stage will be evaluated through a double-blind peer review system. Under this system, neither authors nor reviewers will know each other’s identities. Reviewers will be selected based on their specialization in the specific topic of the article, as well as criteria of impartiality and scientific competence.
In general, each article will be evaluated by two reviewers, at least one of whom will be external. In case of significant disagreement between reports, a third review may be requested. The final decision regarding publication rests with the journal’s editorial board, taking into account the committee’s recommendations and the evaluation reports.
Evaluation criteria
Articles will be assessed according to the following criteria:
Evaluation reports will include an explicit recommendation: acceptance without changes, acceptance with minor revisions, major revision with new evaluation, or rejection.
A rigorous and transparent evaluation protocol with defined deadlines will be applied, in accordance with FECYT quality guidelines.
