Abstract

The eclosion of the Basque Radical Rock endowed the Basque Punk with a new meaning, a movement that was essentially contrary to all, which was used as a vehicle of propaganda by the Basque Nationalist Left. This process is clearly observed through two bands: Eskorbuto and Negu Gorriak. The first one was the representative of the punk philosophy and the second one of the "National Identity Rock". Throughout this article, we offered some indispensable keys to understand the transformation process of the Basque Underground Music into an identity tool of the Basque Nationalist Left.
