Abstract

Biography is one of the historical narrative formulas with more tradition along the time. In this article, we first analyse some of the clues of this historical genre and then, some of the models of its application to the cinema environment are studied. We focus on the novel tradition, the artistic world, the political use, and its evolution all along the XX century, especially in the changes produced in the last decades.
