Abstract

This is an explicit contribution —in relation with previous studies— to the debates about historical republicanism and political cultures. The author starts off the reflections concerning the characteristics into scientifical-historical debate, extending it for theoretical and methodological renovation of the analysis of historical agents and their social practices. Paying special methodological attention to the theory of the action based on the denominated practical reasons, it is carried out a theoretical clarification on the language, discourse, political cultures and social mobilization concepts. After these are developed analytically so in the study of the making of the spanish political cultures and social movements with a republican tradition in the nineteenth-century, as in the interpretation of their social practices.
