Abstract

The breakage of the social contract, the increasing social inequalities and the crisis of reproduction are gender-marked processes. Throughout this work we will consider how the Spanish public pension system has contributed to increase the gender gap. Likewise, the pensions system in the UE member countries will play a main role in this debate.

Hardly any research can be found that condemns the pensions gender gap. One of the main objectives of this work will be to state the conditions and the consequences related to the Spanish public pension system.
