Abstract
In the current crisis situation, fears are arising in society which often endanger the principle of equality. This is why a major challenge is faced in building and maintaining social cohesion. This paper points out some keys to understanding the situation in the Basque Country from the point of view of the employment market. The author begins with a brief diagnosis, establishing some foundations for recovery, and goes on to point out challenges and responses to them while moving forward towards inclusive employment markets and more inclusive societies as a principle and value, with models for governance which foster shared leadership.
