Abstract

This article is part of the theoretical framework in an empirical research about gender constructions in the chemical industry. The aim is to analize the historical strong links between masculinity and industrial work, wich are melt in the same productive logic, as well as in the com-petences and capacities that workers need to have. Also propose how this relationship applies to women, being feminity an element tradicion-ally excluded in the field of the industrial work. Although the analysis is centered in the gender variable, it incorporates an intersectional per-spective too, considering variables as social class or sexual orientation.
