Abstract

Undoubtedly, phenomena such as automation and digitization bring eloquent advantages, also in the field of productive organizations. However, at the same time they represent sources of potential threats to the workers’ occupational health. Among them, it is necessary to highlight their capacity to generate unprecedented psychosocial risk factors (or, at least, to aggravate or modify existing ones).

To fight against them, preventive discipline must play a key role. In particular, the circumstances demand a higher role from the training field. Well-designed, managed and applied training actions will lead to safe and healthy professional activities and environments.

For this reason, the main purpose of this study is to reflect on the relevance acquired by training in occupational risk prevention to address present and future psychosocial risk factors associated with the contemporary “fourth industrial revolution”.
