Abstract

Within a context of the progressive weakening of the social regulation of employment characteristic of European labour companies, organized in accordance with one of the various welfare systems, the Danish model of the labour market, which appears to synergically combine flexibility and security (flexicurity), has become, in recent times, a privileged subject of analysis. In this article, we set out the fundamental features of the model, discussing the possibility of its generalization throughout the European Unión as a whole and proposing a hypothesis regarding its possible future evolution.
