Abstract

The creation of the new models of flexible accumulation implies the development of a new phase of capitalism, in which there are work transformation processes basically related to work of immaterial content. Immaterial work is said to produce «the informative and cultural content of the goods». The development of communication, of language in the field of production, is the real origin of the changes in economy and production we are undergoing. For the authors, in order to start a process for repairing a social bloc which is antagonistic to the current way of capitalist production, it is necessary to find the most outstanding points of contradiction and conflict in this new phase, as well as to understand which sectors are expanding and which in decline. Thus, it will be possible to overcome the conflict between capital and work, and end up with capitalism in this process for building a social alternative.
