Abstract
This paper reflects on the measures proposed in financial literature in the field of the assessment of assets management and its application to voluntary provident societies. After analysing the setting in which measures of these types have been developed and their significance, we investigate their suitability for assessing the management of the assets of voluntary provident societies. Our study reveals some shortcomings assets of these types. Voluntary provident societies are used as a framework for the proposing of specific management assessment measures.
