Abstract
An interdisciplinary research group from the University of Quebec and three trade unions have been working together in order to try and change the working conditions of women. This has led to research being carried out in the fields of human ergonomics, law, social welfare, biology and sociology and has resulted in some changes to the working conditions and improved scientific knowledge. The article describes the methods used in the ergonomic research and the partnership framework as a whole.
